Clear View Curtains: These curtains feature crystal-clear PVC windows, heat-welded into the fabric for an ultra-strong seal. These allow natural light to flood the barn, boosting dairy production by up to 16% while protecting animals from the elements. Clear View Curtains are made exclusively by Shady Lane Curtains and can be used with both roll-up and drop-down systems.
Roll-Up Systems: Our Double Roll-Up curtains provide both center and bottom ventilation, allowing you to position airflow exactly where it is needed without over-exposing your animals. Single Roll-Up curtains offer simple protection and ventilation and are commonly used as sidewalls for openings up to 9 feet high. Center Roll-Up options provide economical, flexible alternatives to traditional doors on gable ends, offering greater airflow and light.
Drop-Down Ventilation: This familiar, functional system is a staple for swine and poultry barns, offering durability and cost-effective temperature management. We offer our own Michiana Drop-Down Curtains, as well as Shady Lane’s Drop and Roll Curtains.
Complete Curtain Systems For Lasting Performance
All of the livestock curtains sold by Michiana can be purchased as complete systems, ready for long-term seamless use as soon as installation is complete. Our curtain systems include 16 oz vinyl curtains strengthened with hot-dipped galvanized bird wire, wind strap systems, aluminum keder tubing, and gear drive.
Wind pipes, clear PVC windows (Clear View Curtains), electrical power supply, and curtain automation monitors are available as options.
Automated and Manual Curtain Systems
Any of our curtain systems is available with manual gear drives or electric gear drive motors.
For those seeking maximum efficiency, we offer Full Automation Systems. These modern controllers monitor temperature, humidity, and wind speed to automatically select the optimal curtain position, ensuring your barn is well managed even when you are off-site. This system is further engineered to save energy by only running fans when absolutely necessary.

You can utilize Michiana’s Installation Service, where our professional crews handle the “endless yards of vinyl” and complex pulley connections, giving you total peace of mind.
